The legendary Michael Douglas has taken to social media to announce that production on Marvel’s Ant-Man sequel is scheduled to commence some time in July, while also teasing his Hank Pym reprisal…

Michael Douglas has now officially confirmed that he’s set to reprise the role of Hank Pym in Marvel’s Ant-Man and The Wasp. Though we all pretty much assumed he’d be back anyway, it was far from a forgone conclusion as Douglas actually only signed on for one movie originally.

As Scott Lang’s mentor, Pym was one of the many highlights of the first movie, so this is terrific news. The Academy Award-winning actor will rejoin Paul Rudd as the diminutive superhero of the title, and Evangeline Lilly, who will have an expanded role as Hope Van Dyne.

Douglas also revealed that Peyton Reed is scheduled to begin filming the sequel this July.

20170208 – News : Batman revient dans « Lego Batman, le film »

Le personnage de Batman découvert dans « La Grande Aventure Lego » (2014) a eu tant de succès que voici venir le spin-off qui lui est consacré.

L’acteur Will Arnett prête sa voix dans la version originale au riche héritier de la ville de Gotham, Bruce Wayne, et à son alter ego solitaire et combattant le crime, Batman. Dans la version française, il est incarné par Philippe Valmont, qui double d’habitude Christian Bale, l’acteur des « Batman » de Christopher Nolan.

On retrouve dans la version originale Zach Galifianakis dans le rôle du Joker, l’ennemi principal de Batman, qui cherche à prendre le contrôle de Gotham, ainsi que Michael Cera, qui interprète le rôle de Dick Grayson, le fils adoptif de Bruce Wayne, déboulant joyeusement dans la Batcave et obligeant Batman à accepter qu’il l’accompagne dans ses aventures.

Mariah Carey, qui a démontré ses talents d’actrice dans « Precious » (2010) et « Le Majordome » (2013), incarne la maire de la ville, Mme McCaskill, qui tente de montrer à Batman comment travailler en équipe.

Ralph Fiennes (« Harry Potter », « Skyfall » et « 007 Spectre ») incarne le majordome de Bruce Wayne, Alfred (que Stéphane Bern interprète dans la version française), et Rosario Dawson (« Sin City », « Boulevard de la mort », « Daredevil ») prête sa voix à Batgirl.

Dans la version française, on note que deux footballeurs jouent respectivement le rôle de Superman et de Flash: il s’agit d’Antoine Griezmann, la star de l’Atletico Madrid, et de Blaise Matuidi, le milieu de terrain du PSG.

Phil Lord et Chris Miller, les réalisateurs de « La Grande Aventure Lego », ont ensuite été débauchés par Disney pour tourner le spin-off de « Star Wars » consacré à la jeunesse de Han Solo. C’est donc Chris McKay qui a dirigé « Lego Batman, le film ».

Il faisait déjà partie du générique de « La Grande Aventure Lego » en tant que coréalisateur et superviseur de l’animation, et même si « Lego Batman, le film » est son tout premier long-métrage en tant que réalisateur, il a déjà dirigé des épisodes de plusieurs séries d’animation en stop-motion diffusées aux États-Unis (« Morel Orel », « Titan Maximum » et « Robot Chicken »).

« Lego Batman, le film » sort en Belgique le 8 février 2017.

20170205 – News : It Turns Out Batman and Superman Both Oppose Trump’s Refugee Ban | Unicorn Booty

In case you were wondering how the world’s most famous heroes feel about Donald Trump’s Muslim refugee ban, we’ve uncovered the answer

Now more than ever, the world needs a superhero or two. Unfortunately for us, Batman and Superman—two characters of the DC Universe originally created in the 1930s—are far from real. Still, for decades they have stood for all that is right in the world: truth (secret identities notwithstanding), fairness and good old-fashioned justice (violence occasionally required).

In case you were wondering how two of the world’s most famous heroes feel about Donald Trump’s recent Muslim refugee/immigrant ban, our friends at Comic Book Resources uncovered the answer!

It was 1949, following WWII, when DC Comics placed the below PSA in its comic books. As any history buff could tell you, that was a time (much like today) when the country was dealing with refugees coming into the States from war-torn nations.

The below comes from Batman #57, written by Jack Schiff and Win Mortimer, and the Caped Crusader shares some poignant thoughts about where discrimination based on religion, race and nationality fit into American values:

And lest you think Superman hasn’t addressed the matter of refugees, think again. It was 1960 when World’s Finest Comics #111 ran a PSA titled “Lend a Friendly Hand,” in which the Kryptonian (Superman is a freakin’ refugee, too, people!) schooled two young boys on the plight of refugees:

While we aren’t 100% sure what Batman and Superman would have to say about Trump’s unconstitutional executive order, we’d like to think their reactions wouldn’t be verbal as much as they’d resemble what Captain America “said” to Adolf Hitler in the Cap’n’s very first issue:

Panini Comics, l’éditeur français de Marvel, fête cette année ses vingt ans et pour l’occasion, une exposition était présentée au FIBD avec une sélection de croquis, planches et dessins réalisés par des artistes français pour le compte de Marvel Comics et Panini Comics.

Le Musée Art Ludique a annoncé l’exposition DC Comics, l’Aube des Super-Héros, du 31 mars au 10 septembre 2017. En collaboration avec DC Entertainment et Warner Bros, le musée parisien réunit plus de 250 planches originales et 300 ébauches pour le cinéma pour un grand portrait de famille des 148 héros DC !

20170123 – COMICS : Ben Reilly Is Back As The SCARLET SPIDER But His New Costume Leaves A Lot To Be Desired

In the latest issue of The Clone Conspiracy, The Jackal was revealed to be a resurrected Ben Reilly. While we don’t really know what to expect from him in that rest of that event series, he’s clearly going to survive and attempt to do good again. Comic Book Resources reveals that Peter David and Mark Bagley are teaming up for a brand new ongoing featuring the fan-favourite clone of Peter Parker.

Titled Ben Reilly: The Scarlet Spider, he’s been given a brand new costume, and while it attempts to pay homage to the classic hoodie, it looks…kind of awful? The peculiar looking mouth may be the biggest issue, though fans of The Clone Saga will no doubt realise that it’s very similar to the evil Spidercide.

Is it a hint that Ben isn’t truly a hero? Well, it sounds like he’s going to struggle with that. « He is trying to decide what to do with his Jackal personality, and he is literally being haunted by his earlier incarnations. He has his Scarlet Spider identity on one shoulder, urging him to follow his better angels, and the Jackal on the other hand, trying to get him to return to the path that led him to disaster. He’s trapped in the middle, endeavoring to balance the two. Of all the characters I’ve written who are having identity problems — I’ve done a few — Ben is easily the most unhinged. »

David also indicated that Kaine (the last Scarlet Spider) will have a major role in the series, and it sounds like the world will believe Ben is dead when The Clone Conspiracy ends. The action is also going to take place in a different city to New York

20170115 – Justice League : La Team prête au combat sur une nouvelle photo | melty

La sortie de la Justice League approche et les fans peuvent aujourd’hui découvrir une nouvelle photo avec la Team prête au combat !

Les plus célèbres héros de DC Comics vont s’allier dans leur première aventure commune : Justice League. Déjà introduit dans le précédent film de Zack Snyder, Batman signera son grand retour et s’occupera de monter cette petite équipe dans laquelle se côtoieront (en vrac) The Flash, Aquaman ou encore Wonder Woman. Avec cette énorme production super-héroïque, la Warner compte bien concurrencer l’écurie Marvel qui cartonne actuellement au cinéma alors que Les Gardiens de la Galaxie 2, dont une partie du scénario a fuité sur le web, doit bientôt sortir également. Bien sûr, le studio compte bien proposer un univers DC Comics beaucoup plus sombre que son concurrent historique.

Les internautes ont pu découvrir sur cette photo de gauche à droite : Batman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, The Flash et Aquaman. Si vous avez vu Batman vs Superman, vous n’êtes pas sans savoir pourquoi ce dernier est absent de l’image. Beaucoup de rumeurs évoquent le retour du héros avec le célèbre Solar Suit. Un costume de confection kryptonienne qui permet à Superman d’absorber les rayons du soleil et être encore plus puissant. Bref, la Justice League (dont Lex Luthor sera au casting ainsi qu’un lieu mythique) réservera beaucoup de belles surprises aux fans de DC Comics. Pour découvrir le film, il faudra tout de même faire preuve de patience et attendre novembre 2017 !
