A Totally, Completely Serious Argument for RYAN REYNOLDS To Return as GREEN LANTERN
There are a lot of lessons that Hollywood will try to take away from the success of Deadpool. Knowing Hollywood, a lot of the lessons they think they should act upon will probably miss the mark. But we’d like to suggest one specifically to Warner Bros. that could be a huge plus for the company’s development of their DC franchise: Give Ryan Reynolds another chance at Green Lantern.
In brightest day, in blackest night…
Might take two films to get it right.
Let those who know just how to write
Give Reynolds back Green Lantern’s lightOK, the motto might summarize it best — letting Ryan Reynolds a second chance at playing Green Lantern — but let’s examine the idea in its entirety, and why the success ofDeadpool supports it.
Most die-hard comic book fans will remember that 20th Century Fox, the same film company behind Deadpool, originally introduced Reynolds as Wade Wilson in the 2009 film X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
But in Wolverine, the « Merc with a Mouth » actually had his mouth sewn shut.

Avis Pimpf / Pimpf’s opinion :
EN : I know I’m among those who didn’t dislike the Green lantern movie because the whole concept , idea was there, the performance of the actors were good I found Ryan Reynolds real good as Hal Jordan / Green Lantern. what was less fun of course was all the use or abuse of CGI not well suited for this character , it didn’t got it quite well , it was even too much I would say sometimes, but for the guardians, for Sinestro Parallax, and all the rest the basic story of the Green lanterns corps all was there so I believe in htis character ( one of my fave character of DC Comics and in Ryan Reynolds again as the Green Lantern for maybe a Justice League movie !

Today, based on a suggestion by NES Boy, we look at how John Broome had some differing he established in the first appearance of Hal Jordan in Showcase #22, namely the fact that Hal Jordan was originally the person who coined the term “Green Lantern” and how Hal seemingly just came up with the Green Lantern oath on the spot…
In Showcase #22 by Broome and Gil Kane, Hal Jordan meets an alien who gives him a power ring and a power battery. It’s interesting to see how originally the alien is pretty sparse in details, including not mentioning that he is a Green Lantern…

Today, based on a suggestion by Stephane S, we look at the complicated history of whether Hal Jordan is actually “without fear” or not.
When John Broome introduced Hal Jordan in Showcase #22, the dying Abin Sur told his ring to find someone who is “entirely without fear”…
