Today, based on a suggestion by NES Boy, we look at how John Broome had some differing he established in the first appearance of Hal Jordan in Showcase #22, namely the fact that Hal Jordan was originally the person who coined the term “Green Lantern” and how Hal seemingly just came up with the Green Lantern oath on the spot…
In Showcase #22 by Broome and Gil Kane, Hal Jordan meets an alien who gives him a power ring and a power battery. It’s interesting to see how originally the alien is pretty sparse in details, including not mentioning that he is a Green Lantern…

It’s been quite a while since I wanted to do this kind of article, It’ s been now a bit more than 35 years since I’m a comic books fan , collecting lot of stuff ( my wife can agree to that seeing all the place those comics take in our house) and with all the stuff I buy and collect I will share some of the stuff I like and buy on a regular way, it will be both in english and french ( won’t take the time to do it in portuguese, spanish and italian, I could but it would take really lot of time)
here is my first selection : Batman comics selection by Bruce Timm.
DC Comics are the first ones who really succeeded the transition from Comics paper version to TV or Movies, and they did so with their version of Batman in animated for TV produced by Bruce Timm, he did a lot to show a new way to present Batman, and this TV animated show introuced some important characters like Harley Quinn that are now part of the normal Batman universe. Urban Comics who are in charge of DC Comics distribution in France release now this book of Bruce Timm’s version of Batman adventures, which are appropriated for younger and older audience .

Cela faisait un moment que ce genre d’article me trottait dans la tête, cela fait presque plus de 35 ans que je suis fan de BD et de comics, et ma collection le prouve entre autre ( Puce peut le confirmer, les BD et Comics c’est bien mais ça prend de la place , heureusement qu’elle aime bien la BD aussi !) Donc avec tout ce que j’ai dans ma collection et ce que je viens d’acquérir je viendrais vous présenter une sélection des BD & Comics que j’affectionne.
DC Comics tiennent le pavé haut des adaptations de comics en films et séries d’animation, Marvel commence à rentrer dans le jeu mais DC a ouvert le bal depuis un moment. Bruce Timm est le dessinateur et responsable de la série animée Batman dans les années 90 qui avait rencontré un énorme succès, apportant des personnages importants dans l’univers de Batman comme Harley Quinn. Cette version des aventures de Batman par Bruce Timm nous est proposé par Urban Comics qui distribue l’univers DC Comics en France; Un vrai plaisir visuel et de lecture pour les petits et les plus grands !
