Alden Ehrenreich, un comédien américain de 26 ans, prend la relève de l’acteur Harrison Ford pour jouer l’aventurier Han Solo.
Après quarante de bons et loyaux services, Harrison Ford ne sera pas à l’affiche du spin-off de Star Wars, consacré à la jeunesse d’Han Solo. Pour le remplacer, le choix s’est porté sur un jeune comédien de 26 ans : Alden Ehrenreich. Ce brun aux yeux clairs sera le nouveau visage de l’aventurier dans le prequel des productions Disney, ont annoncé ce week-end à Londres les deux réalisateurs du film devant un parterre de fans.
Filmographie pointue. Le jeune homme a été choisi parmi un casting de 3.000 candidats. Et détail insolite de l’histoire, l’acteur a été le premier a auditionné pour le rôle, a déclaré Phil Lord, l’un des réalisateurs. L’américain encore peu connu a néanmoins joué dans le film Ave Cesar ! des frères Coen, dans Blue Jasmine de Woddy Allen et dans plusieurs Copolla (Tetro et Twix de Francis Ford et Somewhere de sa fille Sofia). Une filmographie plutôt bien menée.
Clin d’œil en 2017. Le spin-off sur les aventures d’Han Solo se déroulera avant sa rencontre avec Luke Skywalker et Obi-Wan Kenobi et devrait sortie en 2018. Mais l’acteur devrait également apparaître dans le prochain volet de la saga, Star Wars : Episode VIII.
