the young padawan of the now-blind Jedi Kanan Jarrus, and a new look to go with it. Looking decidedly more mature, with a new short crew cut and a posture to match, Ezra is ready to rock season three’s socks.

In the clip, starting around 3:45 in the above video, Ezra, Sabine, Chopper, and Zeb are rescuing Hondo and another of his pirate/smuggler friends, who have some crucial information. We see Ezra in action almost immediately, with a blaster and what looks like a newly redesigned lightsaber, after his last one got a little on the destroyed side in the season finale. Even Hondo can’t believe what he sees as Ezra takes charge, asking, « Is that really Ezra? »

We’ll be getting much more from Star Wars Rebels season three this weekend at Star Wars Celebration Europe, where we’ll be learning about new guest stars, the new status quo, and just what the heroes and villains of the show will be up to when it comes back this fall. Star Wars Rebels airs on Disney XD, but no start date for season 3 has been announced yet.
