20161025 – News : Cable And The ’90s X-Men Get The Full Funko Treatment

It’s looking like an increasingly good time to be an X-Men fan, thanks in part to a selection of classic X-Men character joining Funko’s Marvel line.

It’s a good time to be an X-Men fan. It’s seemed recently like Marvel’s mutants were getting the short end of the merchandizing stick, in favor of a focus on the Marvel Studios movies star Avengers and attempts to make the Inhumans happen.

But now, with the upbeat ResurrXion on the horizon, that seems to be changing, and one step in that change is the introduction of a selection of classic X-Men character to Funko‘s line of Marvel collectibles.

Starting with the Pop Vinyl figurines, Cable is joining their ranks, alongside Archangel, Sabretooth, and Psylocke in their classic 1990s costumes. There’s also a classic Quicksilver in his blue suit, and Storm in her punk outfit and mohawk from the ’80s. Magneto is available as a Pocket Pop Keychain.

Funko is also introducing a line of Classic X-Men Mystery Minis, featuring two Wolverines and ten other characters, including a really cute Beast. Speaking of cute, there are also a bunch of X-Men joining the Dorbz line, including Emma Frost in her human and diamond forms, Storm in her white ’90s costume, and a Beast piloting an undersized Blackbird Jet.

All of these collectible X-Men are due out this November, so keep an eye out at your favorite mutant-friendly retailers.
